Administrative and academic buildings on the Westchester campus are open daily from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m.
The Playa Vista Campus has controlled access, and is accessible daily from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m. to all students, faculty, and staff with a valid OneCard.
University Holidays
During university holidays, administrative and academic buildings are closed and remain locked.
Faculty, staff, and students will maintain approved access to exterior doors from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Exterior building doors with a card reader will require faculty and staff to tap their OneCard for access.
- Exterior building doors with a key will require faculty and staff to call Campus Safety (310.338.2893) after their arrival to the building to request access. They must present a valid OneCard to the Campus Safety officer prior to the building being unlocked. It is the faculty and staff members’ responsibility to call Campus Safety upon departure so the building can be relocked.
- If faculty or staff do not have a valid OneCard, they will not have access to locked buildings or their offices.
Access to offices, suites, and other spaces is managed by LMU departments, colleges, and schools in conjunction with STAC. Contact your department or STAC at quality@lmu.edu for assistance.
Major Events and Special Circumstances
Special circumstances, including but not limited to construction, a major event, or emergencies, may require campus access to be temporarily amended or restricted. If this occurs, access will be temporarily modified and notifications to affected parties will be issued.
