Incident Reporting & Investigations

All students, faculty, staff, volunteers, and visitors should and are strongly encouraged to report all crimes, suspicious activity, and safety-related incidents in a timely manner. The timely reporting of information is imperative, to promote the safety and security of the campus community.

Crimes, suspicious activity, or safety-related incidents that occur on campus or in any off-campus LMU building or property should be reported to LMU Campus Safety via any of the following channels:

  • In person at Foley Annex
  • By calling LMU Campus Safety at 310.338.2893 or -222 from any campus landline phone
  • By completing an E-Report
  • By utilizing any of the campus emergency phones

Reporting Anonymously

LMU Campus Safety offers anonymous reporting via our E-Report Form.

However, this form should not be used to report incidents in progress or for incidents that pose a threat to the community. For all emergencies in progress, please dial 9-1-1 then 310.338.2893 immediately.

What Happens Next?

Our Investigations officers will immediately open a case and launch an inquiry, following all due process and preserving anonymity as requested. Our officers will also work cooperatively with detectives from LAPD, as well as state and federal law enforcement agencies, as necessary.
